In this session, we will explore the tools and insights necessary to develop and strengthen your local civic action group:

  • Building Blocks: Identifying and developing your core organizing team.

  • Alignment: Establishing a strong collective vision and shared values.

  • Effectiveness: Understanding the six characteristics of highly effective groups.

  • Skills: Enhancing collective intelligence and critical communication skills.

 

Step 2: Engaging the Trigger for Systemic Change

To halt the dystopian trajectory and achieve true systemic change, we must focus our collective power toward the most effective point of influence—and it is surprisingly accessible.

Real, tangible power is concentrated within local legislative bodies: your County, City, Town, or Village Boards of Supervisors (or their equivalent governing councils).

This section of the workshop will focus on directing local power toward this trigger point:

  • Foundations of Action: Going through the basics of developing a local grassroots Political Action Committee (PAC).

  • The 7 Steps: Detailed instruction on the seven crucial steps required to successfully elect local legislators who truly support the well-being of the people and environment.
